I selected this photo because this one of my first photos that I took in class and I focused primarily on the rule of thirds . Compositionally, like I said I follow the rule of thirds because I positioned myself to allow the pole and sign not to be centered, and also the texture you get from the pole. I took this for the pattern and texture assignment where I was drew in by the pattern of the fence in the background. To take this photo I had the camera set on iso 100 and f/8.
Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is rule of thirds. There is also positive and negative space seen with the main focus being the light pole but the clouds and sky in the background.. When I edited this photo, I adjusted the levels of color and also converted I to black and white.I took this on my phone with the settings being ISO 25 and f/1.8.This photo reminds me of a gloomy day.
This photo was taken for the light assignment. What I like about this photo is the creativity we had to wave the lights behind Evan to create silhouette of him in the photo. My point of view was below him while he was on stage. The photoFollows the rule of thirds because he isn't centered and is slightly off to the side. The shutter speed was set to 4 seconds to make the light effects. The ISO was set to 1000 and the White Balance was auto.
